Flags status DM42

Contributions to this software library are always welcome. Please ensure that you post program listings rather than .raw files. They give a reasonable idea of what your program does without having to load them into a DM42 and you can also include comments in your code. Check out the following link for a decoder/encoder: https://technical.swissmicros.com/decoders/dm42/

You can then copy/paste the listing and post it in "code" tags.

I've completed my DM42 help file with Thomas' remarks. Unfortunately I don't have permission to upload it to the blog!

No, I modified the dm42help.htm file in the HELP folder of my DM42. But it is not allowed to attach such a document.

Hi to all
I would like to translate the help file into French. But I can't get accented letters. Is it possible to get these important letters in French. In html with css there is no problem but it doesn't work with my DM42.
If there is no solution for DM42 I will put the translation online for personal use.
Best regards to all.

The font used to render the help file only has glyphs for a small subset of Unicode. Basically ASCII and a few symbols required such as arrows etc. Unfortunately letters with accents aren't in the font and there really isn't a lot of space left in the ROM to accommodate everything.

Thanks for your answer.
Do you think it is possible to increase the capacity of the ROM in a future version or is this an absurd idea.
I have to admit that at my age my personal living ROM has not been expandable for a long time. That's why I like to handle these little SM toys (not sadomaso of course). :D

The limiting factor here is the capacity of the flash ROM inside the STM32L476 CPU that powers the DM42 (and DM41X). It has 1MiB of flash ROM and we're fast approaching that limit.
