Sigh - almost immediately after turning my brand new (just arrived today) DM42 on, I noticed a large chip in the display.
This is very annoying and once you've seen it, it's hard to ignore.
Have just written Swicc Micros. I hope they can replace the glass. I hope not I have to send it back to Switcherland, then I will not see it again for a very long time...
PS: the other white specs are dust, that I easily could blow away.
PPS: but there's several more smaller ones. I tried to carefully wipe with lens cloth, but all the small white specs and the larger one does not vanish. Could it be dust on the inside of the screen?

I see, that I am not the only one experiencing this:

Not sure that I will try to lift the glass

Re: Chip (or dust) in display of brand new DM42 :(
Do it without fear with a suction cup. The glass is very solid.
The real problem is not to put more dust than there was before.
But once you see how to do it, you can repeat the work until you are satisfied.
Happy Holidays

Kind of got used to it now. So I’ll just let it be for now.
If more sh*t gets in there. I’ll try to remove it.
