Hello all,
Am I the only one to think that the R/S key should have been kept at it's place under the "3" and next to "." keys... and not at the bottom right corner?
After intensive use keying numbers and hitting R/S, I find that I always go to the CST key instead of R/S... and find it "weird" to do an extra travel with my finger to hit R/S...
EDIT: in fact also on the DM42, the R/S key is part of the "numerical pad" and not in a corner...

Re: R/S key on DM41X
Had the same problem in the beginning but I don't use the HP41 that much any more, the DM41 is my primary calc now and I am used to it.
As I understand it was a heavy debate when the DM41 was developed. I had more problems with the alpha key mixing it with the on key.

Re: R/S key on DM41X
Me neither, I haven't used a HP41 for 30+ years also... but the natural positon of a R/S key seams to be very next to the numerical digits, as part of yhe so called "numerical pad"... just like in DM42...EM41 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 12:55 pmHad the same problem in the beginning but I don't use the HP41 that much any more, the DM41 is my primary calc now and I am used to it.

BTW... I don't have the problem with "backspace" being at the far right of the keyboard... because 1) backspace is not used often, 2) it's not used after keying digits like R/S...
