Somehow my DM42 got a hairline crack in the upper front plastic bezel:

I cherish my DM42 (SN:06900), always keep it in its pouch when not in use, never dropped it, never stockpiled things on top of it, etc.... Dunno how but there's a crack and it wasn't there when it came to me from SwissMicros a few months ago. It is by no means a catastrophic problem but it bugs me big time each time I see it, and I can't help but seeing it everytime I pick it up!
- Is there a chance to get a new front bezel from SwissMicros?
- Is it even possible to replace it?
I haven't even opened it up yet out of curiosity!
[EDIT: possible problem with above image. It seems that some web browsers cannot display the above photo so I place it again as an attachment:]

Drop me an e-mail at support@[you know the domain].

Have you seen Michael Steinman's latest YouTube video?

Re: Cracked bezel
That is not what I'm calling the bezel but the... keyboard template?
The crack is in the plastic bezel surrounding the whole calculator front; see the photo above. Perhaps I'm confusing terms...
Please, bear with me: english is not my mother language

Re: Cracked bezel
I had the same thing! Got a new case so solved by swiss micros, but very strange.
Re: Cracked bezel
It's not just you! Noticed it on my DM42 as well. Possible design flaw? Just emailed SM support about it.

Re: Cracked bezel
I had the same thing happen on my 41. I emailed Support a month ago and have yet to hear any response. I hadn’t given it much thought until I saw these more recent posts, so maybe my email is stuck in the pile.
HP-15C(&LE), (2) HP-28S, HP-32Sii, HP-33S, HP-35S, HP-40gs (NewRPL), (3) HP-41CX, HP-42S, (2) HP-48SX, HP-48G+, HP-48GX, (2) HP-49g+, HP-50g (5 std,, 1 NewRPL), HP-71B, HP Prime G1/G2, WP-34S, DM15L, DM32, (3) DM42 (std, WP43S, C43), (2) DM41X
Re: Cracked bezel
It looks the same with my DM42. It was like that from the beginning. There is no crack on my DM41X, but you can see a small color change on this line. What bothers me a lot more is the "sharp" edge due to the protruding metal base plate.
The finish of the SM computers is just not on the level of real HPs or Casios but good enough to use.

Re: Cracked bezel
Ditto!
I emailed support about a month go when grsbanks told me to do so (second post in this thread) but no answer yet.
I guess they're trying to find a solution...
