Command Line text to raw converter

Post by loberman »

Hello

I have tried a few of the command line based text to raw converters but have had some issues.
The online converter has been down for days.

Does anybody know if the free42 software can convert text to raw by loading a text program and then saving as raw.

I started looking at what would be involved to add functionality to the dm42 where you have a new folder for text based programs you copy to the USB FAT
drive and then convert to raw as you load them.

Thanks
Laurence

Yes, you can 'paste' a text representation of the program into Free42. Check it afterwards though because unrecognized text is silently ignored.

In principle it should be possible. The DM42PGM code would need to interface to Free42's core_paste() function.

Thanks for the converters ... and everything else.
The current link to key_overlay_DM42.PDF from dm41x_user_manual (2.4) is wrong. Where can it be found?

If this document no longer exists, it would be a good idea to remove the link.
However, it would be nice to make it available again ... maybe?

Anyway, thank you for all your efforts for the new site which I like ;)

This has not been lost or forgotten, it will be restored as the smaller details of the website are addressed.

Thanks for posting this.
