Ramanujan's constant...

Interesting because it is almost an integer, and we can calculate it on the DM42. As it has 18 digits to the left of the decimal point, the DM42 is one of the few things able to calculate it.

(and yes, I blew my entry - Thomas has it correct).

I think he meant exp(pi*sqrt(163)), not e*pi*sqrt(163)

Anyway, I calculated what Thomas suggested on the WP43S and got
262 537 412 640 768 743.999 999 999 999 247 4. Almost an integer, almost ... 8-)

You won't find this so-called 'Ramanujan constant' in the German part of the internet for reasons mentioned in the article you linked. Actually, it should be called Hermite's constant instead ... but his marketing was inferior to Martin Gardner's.

I hate it when that happens. Honestly. When Google - or other superficially "intelligent" search engines give me a different result than other people, for the sake of ... personalization? Making money, more like it.
