Please pardon me if this topic was covered earlier already but I got my DM42 back from Switzerland today, fully working AFAICS and with the newest firmware installed (thanks to D & M!).
Now I want to reinstall my personal settings and come across the following: If I set the so-called Font Size Offsets as pictured here I get a stack display like this .
If, however, I set them like 0, -1, -2, -3, -4 I get a screen like this .
If this is working the way it is intended, what are the positive "Font Size Offsets" good for? What did I miss?
SETUP > Settings > Stack Font Sizes > Font Size Offset ??
SETUP > Settings > Stack Font Sizes > Font Size Offset ??
WP43 SN00000, 34S, and 31S for obvious reasons; HP-35, 45, ..., 35S, 15CE, DM16L S/N# 00093, DM42β SN:00041
Re: SETUP > Settings > Stack Font Sizes > Font Size Offset ??
According to the "Stack Font Sizes" section in the DM42 User Manual, the offset (positive or negative) is specified vs. the current font size selected by the F6 / Shift F6 keys. If you have already the biggest font size selected then you cannot increase it with a positive offset, which is what you may be experiencing with 2, 1, 0, -1, -2 as the 2 and 1 offsets don't increase the font size (already at its max value) and so X, Y and Z registers are displayed with the same font size. While with 0, -1, -2, -3, -4 each register Y, Z, T, L has a font smaller that it's predecessor, as long as it is within the Font Size range (if you press repeatedly Shift F6 you will end-up with all registers displayed with the smallest font size).

Re: SETUP > Settings > Stack Font Sizes > Font Size Offset ??
Merci Didier! I should have RTFM. And I continue being astonished that this is the maximum font size - especially when displaying just two or three registers.
