Hi,
From time to time I manage to hard fault my DM42 and get the "blue screen" of the DM42.
From my experience the DM42 needs a reset quickly then - otherwise the battery seems to be drained
more quickly.
In such a situtaion most of the time one thing is not present: A handy "thing" to operate the reset botton through this
tiny black hole on the back.
So grabbing the first thing which fits through that hole and is stable enough results mostly in something...metallic.
Poking throw a hole onto a PCB (which is still powered) finding a botton in the dark...looks like to be not the best idea...
But I found a replacement:
https://www.rossmann.de/produkte/prokud ... 74417.html
(this is no advertisement, I only using this product for what it is not intended for...)
I dont know, whether this product is available elsewhere, but I am sure similiar products can be bought.
I cut off the part with the brushes and the result is plastic stick, which is 100% non-conductive, has the correct diameter
and is stable enough to operate the reset botton on the PCB.
HTH!
Cheers!
mcc

Re: Doing a more friendly reset
I found that a plain old wooden toothpick will do the job as well.
