I don't mean this in any way other than ironically.
But, the same day (virtually) that SM releases DM42-3.21 with Free42 3.0.9, that Thomas releases Free42 3.0.10.
Still a very happy DM42 owner here.

Update worked fine, thank you very much!
Only one question:
Maybe the dm42help.htm help file at https://technical.swissmicros.com/dm42/fat/HELP/ got also an update?

Absolutely no question it was in fact a coincidence.Thomas Okken wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 5:05 amMuuuaahahahaaa!
(Just kidding. The timing was pure coincidence!)
By the way, thank you for your continued contributions and support.
Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.23 / DM42-3.21
Way back when we measured coincidences, such events you are talking about were called "chance coincidences". The true coincident events were the ones we were looking for in nuclear reactions.Panchdara wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 5:10 pmAbsolutely no question it was in fact a coincidence.Thomas Okken wrote: ↑Mon Jan 31, 2022 5:05 amMuuuaahahahaaa!

Seems the meaning of the term "coincidence" has changed, hasn't it?

The meaning
has certainly been around, and in common use, since well before my time. Regarding my use of the word in my previous post, I trust that any confusion between this and any other meanings can be cleared up by considering the context.a striking occurrence of two or more events at one time apparently by mere chance
Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.23 / DM42-3.21
From Merriam-Webster:
There seems to be some ambiguity here since "mere coincidence" means something significantly different. Must be a human need that the two worst exact modern languages became the widest spread (English and Chinese).Essential Meaning of coincidence
1 ...
2 formal : the occurrence of two or more things at the same time
//Scientists have no explanation for the coincidence of these phenomena.

No. Unless you seriously think that I would be pointing out the temporal proximity of those two events, in response to a post that... pointed out the temporal proximity of those two events. Maybe a pedant could get a kick out of trying to defend that notion, but normal people would understand that I was making a statement on the lack of causality between those two events.
This shall be my last contribution to this particular bit of linguistic stupidity.
