DM42 Firmware Update Policy

This is where announcements of official firmware updates provided by SwissMicros for the DM42 calculator will be made.

Please do not post bug reports here. The Usage tips, tricks and problem reports forum is there for that.

Please do not post notices of third party firmware builds here, they will be deleted. Instead, please use the Third Party firmware builds forum for this purpose.

One qiestion: if Thomas includes a paid version vould we get this paid version also (wuickly) on DM42? Wouldn't mind a yearly or monthly contribution (both to Thomas and Swissmicro's).
The paid version of Free42 is a premium product that Thomas Okken will be licensing to individuals. This product will not be coming to the DM42.

Does this mean, no chance whatsoever to get Plus42 (or Free42+ or however it is called) to the DM42 hardware?
Thanks,
Etienne

Plus42 for Windows, Mac, and Linux will be GPLv2-licensed just like Free42, only the Android and iOS versions will be closed source. From a licensing perspective, there is no reason not to run Plus42 on the DM42.

There might be technical challenges, of course, like making it use the big screen properly and perhaps RAM will be a bit tight. The big screen could be particularly interesting because Plus42 will have its own big screen support, and patching that to work with the DM42 OS will probably not be trivial.

A question:
is this error considered an unscheduled update worthy bug?

Yeah +1 here, the L4STK-in-NSTK fix would be quite welcome.
DM42, DM16L, and a menagerie of HPs thanks to CAS (Calc Acq Syndrome)!

I understand that the DM32 took a lot of time, but after 2 years and 6 Free42 versions a new update might be due.
