Dang, I was hoping V3 with the big stack would also give us options with the 4 level mode to pull down the stack whenever the DROP <- key is pressed. Or at least pull down the stack on the second press of the key after clearing X to zero.

At least they've done it for the NSTK mode.

I use free42, HP42s for many years (the DM41 is new in my collection). Unlimited stack is the only thing I like in the HP48-calculators. So I hope this feature will take place in the DM42 soon.

Since the sources of Free42 are open, the first thing I've tried to add was unlimited stack implementation.
That was 3 years ago. Now we see brilliant implementation from author, and I vote for this feature in dm42.

Please, don't let the hope to die!

I tried the feature in version 3. It's a big improvement over the normal 4 level stack. Programming is a charm. No problem to use many parameters in function calls.

The lack of an infinite stack was the main reason keeping me from getting a DM42!
I really hope the feature will be included in the DM42 soon...

This is debatable. Actually, we have shown with the WP34S that all real-world calculations can be done with just an 8-level stack at zero risk of stack overflow. We continue offering such a stack with the WP43S, keeping the benefits of RPN (automatic stack lift, top stack level repetition).

Moderator note: Despite the inference to the contrary, Free42 does have automatic stack lift in both 4-level stack and big stack mode.
WP43 SN00000, 34S, and 31S for obvious reasons; HP-35, 45, ..., 35S, 15CE, DM16L S/N# 00093, DM42β SN:00041
