B&W photography off images
Two images from a recent roll of Ilford XP2 I shot that I think look great on the DM42.

That shot of the Metro leaving Wallsend Station is very good. I've put it on my new DM42

Thanks! I'm quite surprised you could recognise the station given how much of the background I cropped out and the 1-bit format of off images. Guessing you live in Newcastle?

I live in Jarrow!
In your photo, the location give-away is the bridge. It's unique on the network.

Well spotted! I got out there to check out the Latin signs on a trip to Newcastle specifically to try the metro. It's a very fun system to travel, especially from the front seat, which reminded me a lot of the DLR. This is another shot from the same roll:

Nice. That particular stretch of the line between North Shields and Tynemouth is crazy above-ground; it's a cut and cover, with both road bridges and buildings above it.
The front seats are all closed off now, and the replacement trains won't have them.
