Terrific, your version looks much better on the DM42's display.
Thanks for your effort !
Inkscape instead of Libre Office Draw for SVG import might be a good idea ... ;)

Still working on two coat of arms Lions from nearby.
The easterly one was reinstated a few decades ago, but is in fact the older one
and even ruled once for quite a long time over the westernly province.
History has some amazing twists sometimes.

In the meantime I am pleased by OFFIMGs of
  • the sturdy aircraft that connects the Allschwil Meeting with the rest of the world
Image
  • the simulator that can exchange programmes with an DM15

Nice but there should be a visible difference between red and blue fields in these coats of arms.
WP43 SN00000, 34S, and 31S for obvious reasons; HP-35, 45, ..., 35S, 15CE, DM16L S/N# 00093, DM42β SN:00041

In principle, it would be very nice to see different colours at the first glance in these special 1bit bmp files.
+1

Probably, this feat could be achieved by assigning different dithering patterns to these different colours.

If someone knows an easy and not time consuming way, I would appreciate any hint to an URL or short description / trick for how to achieve this. ;)

Here's a two-step method. Using your favorite photo editor (I like Paint Shop Pro), make a copy of the image. Reduce one of them to 2 colors, specifying Ordered Dither, and Red Components. Then reduce the copy the same way but specifying Blue Components. Then AND the two images. The result is below. Since different colors get dithered differently, you can change the final results by adjusting the original colors before reducing them to 2 colors.
