Well, since it's an annual calendar, that could be a lot of on/off cycles.toml_12953 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 8:57 pmGreat! I just have to turn my calculator on and off again until I get to the month I want!
OTOH, every on/off cycle gets you to all the months, so just once.
Great enhancements deetee, really nice work, requiring a LOT of time (and squinting)! Thanks very much
All 3 of the latest images will be loaded into both of my DM42s over the Thanksgiving break.

And the hits keep coming! You've already done so much, but would you consider a second version of the calendar with the weeks starting on Sunday?

Now we're in a religious topic! Internationally, weeks start on Monday, AFAIK.Mark Hardman wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 12:04 amAnd the hits keep coming! You've already done so much, but would you consider a second version of the calendar with the weeks starting on Sunday?

Yes, that's true: ISO 8601 says that Monday is the first day of the week. However, Canada, Japan, and the USA still follow the MUCH older practice of using Sunday as the first day of the week. So we Yanks and many others appreciate the option of Sun-through-Sat calendars. The fact that Sun-through-Sat calendars are the de facto standard in the USA can be seen in the American English online dictioanry called dictionary dot com:Walter wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 12:22 amNow we're in a religious topic! The best tools are those which can serve their individual user's needs, even needs which involve teaspoons and inches and other non-ISO concepts.

Well, most people use knives. However, some may still follow the MUCH older practice of using stone bifaces ...
Doesn't this claim come from a country whose companies abandon the support of their products after just a couple of years? Since they are "outdated".So we Yanks and many others appreciate the option of Sun-through-Sat calendars. The fact that Sun-through-Sat calendars are the de facto standard in the USA can be seen in the American English online dictioanry (sic!) ...

Officially declaring they wanted to go SI half a century ago? And doing nothing since?
I'm aware of many outd... ummh ... strange customs among the inhabitants of the US of A. But who are the "many others" you claim?? (Average Canadians are reasonable people in my experience. And some christians in diaspora in Japan don't really count.)
(Yes, Joe, I know you've to support this side for professional reasons but nevertheless I couldn't let that go. Thanks for furnishing that fit occasion! )

toml - your creative comments are always inspiring.toml_12953 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 8:57 pmGreat! I just have to turn my calculator on and off again until I get to the month I want!
This one inspires me to a program for the DM42 which calculates the day of a date (month) and prints out some monthly table.
I guess parts of such a programs have still been created ... I keep this idea in my mind, waiting for a "kick" and spare time.

What a dummy I am! I was thinking that each month was one screen. At my age, I better make an image like that.rprosperi wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 9:36 pmOTOH, every on/off cycle gets you to all the months, so just once.toml_12953 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 27, 2019 8:57 pmGreat!
