[DM15 M1B V25] % produces incorrect results

Post by bbaren » Sat Feb 17, 2018 4:35 am

The % operator behaves strangely on my DM-15. Examples:
  • 100 ENTER 10 % produces 1.0000
  • 45 ENTER 10 % also produces 1.0000
  • 10 ENTER 3 % produces 0.4771
  • 50 ENTER 100 % produces 2.0000
I can reproduce these (and many others) consistently, performing a PR reset before each one. Can anybody else?

Nope.

Both my units produce correct results.

Have you tried re-flashing the firmware?

Just an observation: it appears that your results are actually the LOG of the second argument (the value in X). Do you also have problems with y^x? Perhaps your keys aren't registering properly.

If he had flashed the DM41L firmware onto the 15L, the LOG key would be where the y^x and % key is on the stock 15L although that's probably not the issue since if he pressed the blue key first, he'd get an alpha D.

Aha! I performed the key self-test (with ÷-ON) and sure enough, I get “Error 9” when pressing the y^x button. The problem persists even through reflashing the firmware, which suggests it is indeed a hardware problem. Is it time to request a warranty replacement?
