Re: prompt
There isn't really a need for such a book for the '41 because it doesn't sport menus to access the commands. On the '41, if it isn't in plain sight on the keyboard then you either have to type it in manually using the XEQ [a] .... [a] technique or you have to assign it to a USER key. I do, however, ...

Re: DM42 resets during program run
How to reflash the calculator is described in the manual on the website. It is done on Linux in exactly the same way as on Windows and MacOS. https://technical.swissmicros.com/dm42/doc/dm42_user_manual/#quick_update_guide As for the previous post, I did not let through and had the forum send you an ...

Re: prompt
Hi there. This is where the power of the '41 shines :) ASN is your friend. Simply assign the command "PROMPT" to the key of your choice and you can enter it directly into your program in USER mode, e.g. the [SIN] key. [f] ASN [a]PROMPT[a] [SIN] Toggle USER mode with the [USR] key. When it'...

Re: DM42 resets during program run
Do you mean that the precision of Free42 is not good enough? It is the same as in the (slower) DM42. There are two versions of Free42 for desktop/laptop computers. There is Free42 Decimal, which is the same as the version embedded in the DM42, but there is also Free42 Binary, which uses standard 64...

Re: DM42 resets during program run
There have been several updates of the DM42 firmware since the one you're using. I would suggest that you bring yours up to date and try again.

Re: Translation table HP42s(ascii) <=> HP42s(raw)
I'm working on updating the online decoder/encoder with the latest additions to Free42. Trying to strike a balance between this, having just started a new job and having a partner back in hospital at the moment so please bear with me.

Re: "Persistent custom menu" firmware
I have swithched to 3.18b1 (+ complex values bugfix) in my experimental "persistent custom menu" version... If you haven't already done so could you please include a notice in your firmware's "About" screen informing the user that this firmware is neither provided by nor support...
