Re: Assign the f shift or g shift function to a MyMenu location?

In MODE you will find the checkbox "SH.4s". If this is deactivated, the f- or g- state of the Shift key is no longer automatically deactivated after 4 seconds, but you have to press the Shift key again to cancel SHIFT, as usual with 41C/42S. Instead of two states, there are now three.

Re: Assign the f shift or g shift function to a MyMenu location?

The f/g keys assigned to "unshifted" function keys is more of a corner case, limited to users who embrace MyMenu customizations. I see the flexibility of customizing MyMenu as a powerful feature. But I suspect that many users will not have the desire to do this. I'm the voice of the fun b...

Re: C47 Bug Reports

In version 0.108.15.00, there was a change in the organization of the MODE menu to MyM, HOME, MyM.3, HOME.3. I believe these selections should use radio buttons rather than check boxes. In both cases it is possible to want neither MyM(.3) nor HOME(.3). In this case, it makes more sense and is easie...

Re: C47 Bug Reports

The "normal" inversion of ".ms" is ".d". The "special" inversion of ".ms" is ".ms-1", which returns a sexagesimal value back to register X. To be "compatible" with older HP calculators. 1.7, or 2.1 becomes "2:10:00" only...

Re: Discussion of keyboard layout and ergonomics

In fact, I have not found a reliable study anywhere that comments on the distribution of numbers when entering calculations.
But why do people keep trying to arrange the numbers in three columns and four rows? Surely that can't work. Why not two rows and five columns? ;)

Re: C47 Classic single shift, replaces C43 on DM42

... My preference after [f] or [f][f] would be for a long press to lead directly to NOP, because it seems inconsistent to want to use both [f] and a long press to access a function. (1) [f] + long press on [RCL] = % → NOP (2) [f][f] + long press on [RCL] = Δ% → NOP Yes, this is inconsistent and alr...

... Plus, it annoys me that the trigger timers aren't the same on the first row of keys.
This will certainly be adjusted by version 1.0 of the software. At this point, however, I will not commit to the year when 1.0 will be available.

Re: C47 Classic single shift, replaces C43 on DM42

The menus can be operated without using the shift key. "F.xxx" refers to the function keys. "4" refers to the NOP position. By pressing the function keys for a long time, you can therefore select the f line of a menu. "F.14" prevents this. "F.124" cycles throu...
