Re: How to combine DMCP OS + DM42 program into combo deliverable?
Not sure what "it" is here, the DM42 doesn't "do" anything, these are notes for how the programmer should create the image. If the end of PGM bin finishes less than 24 bytes from the next 2 KiB boundary, the file image should be extended to the next 2 KiB boundary and then adjust...

Re: How to combine DMCP OS + DM42 program into combo deliverable?
Sorry, missed this until now. I'll check with David if there is some way to do this. Thanks! Of course I already looked into officially released combo files :-), they are in essence a concatenation of dmcp and pgm files with a bit of padding and checksums. I wrote a script and can rebuild practical...

Re: 43S News
After the pilot series of WP43 was released in Allschwil yesterday, I'd suggest closing this very long thread now, assuming there will be a dedicated subforum for WP43 in near future. Dear admins, is this a realistic option ? Thanks to all contributors and testers here - see you again soon at said ...

Re: Built-in help suggestions
Note: I noticed that if the help file is open, then the off-image loading is broken. Is it the case that only one file can be open at a time on DMCP? How did you experience this? In order to turn-off the DM42 (via shift-[EXIT]), and thus see the off-images, you will initially exit the help system, ...

Re: How to combine DMCP OS + DM42 program into combo deliverable?
Hi, It is well documented how to build a DM42PGM.pgm file - however, I didn't find anything on how to combine pgm file with a DMCP_flash_x.yy.bin resulting in a combo deliverable like DMCP_flash_3.24_DM42-3.22.bin -Ljubo Sorry, missed this until now. I'll check with David if there is some way to do...

Re: DM41X/DM42 to be updated to new platform?
No, the DM42 and DM41X will not be migrated to the new platform, at least not for many years, probably ever. At least not by SM. If DM32 is based around DMCP, it might be possible for a third party to port DM42PGM to the new hardware, perhaps. (We shall see.) You're right, that will be possible. :o...

Re: DM41X/DM42 to be updated to new platform?
Yes, Ben's explanation is correct, all DM4x-style machines sold going forward will utilize the same foils and key sprues as have been used on production DM41X and DM42 sold since introduction of the 41X.

Re: DM41X/DM42 to be updated to new platform?
No, the DM42 and DM41X will not be migrated to the new platform, at least not for many years, probably ever. So, while you'll have to tough it out with a micro-USB port, the good news is all new DM42, DM41X, DM32 and WP43 all use the same (internal) keyboard components, so they all share the same ex...

Re: DM42 drains battery quickly
I've never used (or seen, or even heard of) batteries from Hyundai, so can't comment one way or the other.
I've read that Varta makes good quality cells and are seemingly easier to find if you're in Europe.
