Re: PROTOTYPE WP43 BATTERY ENDURANCE
Thanks for the detailed comments. The WP43S samples sold at and just following Allschwil were, and should have been positioned as, incomplete, pre-alpha level maturity; I am fairly certain Walter was clear about this, I don't believe he ever inferred they were any more mature than that. This is not ...

Indeed, credit should also have been given to Martin as well in my post above, thanks for correcting that Meindert!MeinKuipers wrote: ↑Tue Dec 20, 2022 5:26 pm
My implementation is for 99% based on Martin Hepperle's project mentioned elsewhere in this thread, and he should have all credits for the RedEye receiver.

Re: DM41 naïve? questions
OK, glad you're still up for the challenge. And I suppose there is no better way to learn the new Voyager-driven key layout than experimenting with a non-trivial programming challenge. If you're looking for sources of 41 FOCAL (that's the name of 41 RPN programming language) programs for manipulatin...

Re: DM41 naïve? questions
The DM41 does not support using ROM/Modules at all, the h/w limits of the Voyager format machines does not provide the capacity to do so. If you want to explore full 41CX features, you should get a DM41X, it lets you install and use any/all of the ~500 HP and 3rd-party ROM modules. Also, the form fa...

Re: Some comments on the WP43 graphic capabilities
As regards the graphics issues, your observations and implied suggestions to improve it make sense, though I can pretty much guarantee I will never create graphical programs. Somehow, I've missed until now the fact that multiple save files are not supported. This seems shortsighted and should probab...

Re: removing LCD from plastic case?
Some things to try to help make removing the LCD easier: 1. Store the calc case w/LCD somewhere cold (e.g. refrigerator) to lower the temperature of the the whole unit; the adhesive is less sticky when cold. 2. Fish a piece of smooth, strong thin line (e.g. dental floss or strong fishing line) behin...

Yes, Meindert Kuipers created a clever modern IR receiver which will let you capture IR "Printed" output on a PC.
