Re: Are many of you with the DM32 ?

Don't worry: just after the next update of that for the DM41X. HP32SII.bmp True. The firmware on both calculators still has, well, lots of potential indeed. And the DM32 clearly thrives on a hardware base that it will hardly ever outgrow. Two shift keys... but without arrow keys it sadly does not q...

Re: SwissMicros, DMCP OS, blank platform - What if?

There's nothing to stop you taking a DM42 or DM41X apart and replacing the keys with a set that you had made elsewhere. Is that really true? Last time I had a look, the keys looked suspiciously glued or post-melted into the screen assembly. I do like the C47 approach where no key labels need changi...

Re: DM43/C43 emulator for MacOS

Has anybody been able to build it? I'll not be going into details here of all the ways in which I managed to fail using the advice given here and under https://gitlab.com/rpncalculators/c43/-/wikis/Build-setup If anybody has succeeded in building (universal) apps for MacOS and or iOS, are there any...

Re: RPN option for school children

HP-41Cx would be banned anyway - that's a device no teacher will overview. I remember mine saying that - if I am able to tame such a beast - I could just as well use it. But that was in the eighties... :P My maths were a lot worse than even my measly programming skills at that time. So it helped a ...

Re: C43 continuous improvement --> C47 Classic single shift, replaces C43 on DM42

Good. I get a similar error message from time to time myself, and it is unclear to me what the correct load order is for the program and QSPI files. Sometimes it works to load the QSPI first, sometimes it doesn't. I always format the USB disk on the DM42, and most of the time using the "FAT Di...

Re: C43 continuous improvement --> C47 Classic single shift, replaces C43 on DM42

Are you able to get back into the DMCP menu? Yes I am. I am even able to launch the C47.pgm which loads and displays "DMCP v3.24 (IFC 0315) BASE, ..., Program Loaded, C47 Version 2c8ba7e2" and then "Program C47, ..., QSPI Size 157988 CRC 000cfed6, QSPI not loaded, PGM IFC: 3.15 DMCP ...

Re: C43 continuous improvement --> C47 Classic single shift, replaces C43 on DM42

To my knowledge, any incompatibility between the pgm and qspi can cause the error message you saw, and it happens because you are limited to replacing one at a time. I have had that countless times, sometimes having to reset and sometimes not. I updated my DMCP with the newest version from the Swis...
