Re: DM42 Decoder
Here is a DM42 Decoder. It can decode the modified stress program attached. Now that you mention it, the stress program on my web site is way out of date, since it only covers the HP-42S instruction set. I just uploaded a new version, including all the additional functions from Free42 and Plus42. T...

Re: Possible to replicate varmenu behaviour with menu?
The number input flag, flag 22, is set when any of the number keys (0-9, E, period) are pressed while in RUN mode. The flag stays set until explicitly cleared using CF, FS?C, or FC?C. That's really interesting - so I think you're saying it works on a per-program basis? So it starts off cleared at t...

Re: Possible to replicate varmenu behaviour with menu?
You're asking several questions at once here, and some of those don't make sense to me, i.e. I don't even understand what you're asking. But let me get started with those that I can answer; feel free to rephrase the others in case the below doesn't clarify everything you're looking for. The number i...

Re: DM42 skin for the Free42 simulator
Looking at the dm42_2 version, the display is positioned a bit too high when rows > 2. In the version on my web site ( link ), I have DisplaySize: 22,7 89 2 which positions the display 7 pixels lower. My version also contains keyboard mappings for a, v, q, o, l, x, and g, so you can use those for ...

Free42 & Plus42 at Google Groups
I have reopened the Free42 discussion group at Google Groups. I encourage everyone with Free42- or Plus42-related questions to post them there; that is where I will be focusing my attention, rather than here.

Re: How to use PGMMENU & VARMENU
I have offered, quite a while ago, to update the DM42 programming tool to include the latest additions to the Free42 instruction set. According to its version history, the tool hasn't been updated since October 2020, and there have been a lot of additions since then. I thought maybe I could do it wi...
