I have the same issue. SwissMicros support won't answer my emails, how can I reach them?
Try michael@swissmicros.com. You may have to wait a few days before he replies.
Is that because he gets email delivered by PostNL? :D

When I opened it I saw a strange white liquid (see photo). I am absolutely sure that this was not brought in by me. Can this be the reason?Picture.jpg
The "strange white liquid" looks like silastic (silicone elastomer). It should have set into a solid.

Re: DM42 / Free42 state file compatibility

Do all keyboards have the € symbol? Can't say, as here (in the EU in general) it is normal for all keyboard varieties to have it. I also wouldn't know of any other character that is not on the 42 yet on all keyboards. No, US keyboards don't include the € symbol, that would be too convenient... But ...

Re: Upgraded keypad

How can one tell, if the keyboard is the upgraded one? I have a DM42 underways in the post and hope that it is with the new keyboard. I don't think they have a pile of old stock with the old keyboard. There was a period when they were not allowing any DM41Xs or DM42s out the door at all until they ...

Edit:
Just realized, that the image files must be 2 bpp bmp files, they are here:
Actually, they need to be 1 bpp.

Experimenting with adjustments to the brightness and contrast before dithering usually helps.

Re: Battery Consumption

I use my DM42 fairly infrequently, but it's still using its original CR2032 from nearly 4 years ago. I just turned it on and it is showing 2.81V.

Re: May 2021 Speculations

Is there any news on what this "May 2021" new "entry level" product is about? Have I misunderstood something? I suspect the May announcement was only there to bring something in May. It was a pretty surreal announcement that didn't make much sense. There weren't even any later c...

The outer glass can survive someone sitting on it, but the actual display can get damaged nonetheless...
Don't do that then! :)

1.0.7 is a poor choice of version number. Better to use a suffix to distinguish it from the "official" version numbers.

(Even better - fork the repo on GitHub and submit a pull request!)
