Re: Annuciators

I worked out what was setting the Flag 1 annunciator on my DM42. It was the "Convert" programme (converts between units, e.g. cm to ft etc.). (At least I know about flags now).

Re: DM42 Firmware V3.1 available

Hmm, only to ask, and what I vaguely remember; isn't semicolon to be used to avoid disambiguity? As in "I met with my parents; Jill and Tony" (not mine, just an example), where semicolon is used for statement that is inside one sentence. Thus no need for capital letters as if used colon? ...

Re: Annuciators

rprosperi,
Thank you very much for such a quick reply. Not sure how I would have set Flag 01, but I looked at how to use flags... tested and found it was set, cleared it and found that the annunciator disappeared, confirming you are correct.
Perfect thanks.

Annuciators

Hi, I've got an annunciator on my DM42 which I can't find reference to in any manual or user guides. It's a black square (filled black) with a white number one digit in it..... What does it mean? Have I missed it somewhere in a user guide? (tried DM42/HP42S/alterantive42S user guides) Are all the DM...

Re: DM42

I've been busy for several days and not had chance to check into the forum.....and now when I do, I find a number of people have posted with code examples etc. That people would bother t...

Re: DM42

Did you look through these? http://thomasokken.com/free42/42progs/ Yes thanks jfb9301, that was one of the first places I looked, and I did take the convert programme and try it in a Free42 emulator; it does the trick in terms of common unit conversions. Or are you looking more for constants like s...

Re: DM42

We've put the most important physical constants into the WP34S and WP31S.... Absolutely Walter, both calculators have an excellent set of physical constants...I just wondered whether anyone had created a HP-42S programme which provided access to some useful constants, such that I could use it on th...

Re: DM42

...we'll pursue the WP43S (as specified for long) as soon as we get the means to do this. Walter, I certainly hope that project comes to fruition. I would definitely get a WP43S if it did. In the mean time, I've ordered a DM42. I'm just too interested not too. I've found a unit conversion programme...
