Günter, are both machines running V3.1 firmware?

That bug was corrected in the transition from 3.0 to 3.1.
Another stupid me  grrr. I had only updated the beta unit.

Günter

Edit: updated, works as announced

Downloaded the help file https://www.swissmicros.com/dm42/fat/HELP/help_file_20171219.zip transferred to my beta DM42 and to my production DM42. Now guess what: on my beta unit the navigation aid correctly shows the assignement of the navigation keys, whereas the production unit still shows them exc...

Re: DM42 Firmware V3.1 available

Also, I don't see anywhere whether or not 3.1 is safe to flash to a Beta unit. Is it? SM wrote The final beta version of the firmware was V2.11.6. New production units shipped with V3.0, so for the benefit of the beta testers who still have V2.11.6 on their calculators, we'll also go through what w...

Re: Powering the calculator from the USB port

Please give it a try and I'll send you a replacement if it explodes. You kill me... so dry... Michael did obvioudly read the various specs about quick charge, where indeed higher voltages than 5V are offered. During my time as an air transport pilot I've been at a lot of places, like Huntsville,Al or Ft Lauderdale,Fl. But the lay over tim...

Re: First impressions of the official DM42

Our English teacher came from Scotland and taught us the genitive with "'s" shall be used for animals (including mankind) only IIRC. Though more than five decades ago. Meanwhile, I learned that at least Americans are very ... mmh ... liberal (heaven beware!!! Of course only) grammar-wise....

Re: Flash write cycles

I noticed that the manual mentions the flash chip being rated for a minimum of 100,000 write/erase cycles, and that the FAT is always stored in a static location. What actions on the calculator cause flash writes? Does this only happen when manually saving calculator state or transferring programs ...

Re: Flash write cycles

Re: Circle

What's the reason for "07 RAD"? the program seems to work in each mode. You have to ensure the circle does not go outside the screen, otherwise .... well see yourself.
