Poll demo

@Jaymos, You could’ve made a simple Poll like this, to get an overview of how many liked to have a C47 FP. Administrator can see who voted for what. And can also enable this right for you and perhaps all others. Like this. Edit: Just checked on my own board. Nobody, not even admins can see who voted...

It amazes me there might be a real world application where a difference in the 31st digit matters. I live in the engineering world where having six digits for the inputs to a calculation is very good, and it is usually fewer than that.

Re: Waitlist for C47

Just came back up on my chair again, almost fell down, reading the topic title, thought there were a physical C47 device on the ways :o

But also count me in for a bezel, when it is available.

Re: Astronomy OFFIMG's

Here's an OFFIMG of some sunspots from sunday. I've used this crop and dithered it using Affinity Photo https://www.dropbox.com/s/edozweukgui0xuk/Sol_20230611_1430.png?raw=1 Here's the OFFIMG for download: Sol_20230611_1430_dither.bmp The full original image is here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7fxqzq...

Re: Trigonometric/transcendental function accuracy

I wouldn't call it an error of E-50 but an error at the 18'th significant digit. For the WP 34S, this was acceptable. Results were only promised to sixteen digits. Double precision really was an afterthought. Pauli I think 4-8 significant digits would be precise enough to all problems I have encoun...

Re: Trigonometric/transcendental function accuracy

Thanks for reporting. Before bothering with errors of E-50, however, I'd recommend sorting out an error 50 orders of magnitude greater: you've confused the WP43 and WP34S, haven't you? While we're at it: please note WA calculates with an infinite number of digits. I wouldn't call it an error of E-5...

Re: WP43 programs and routines

I am sure a DM32 forum will happen. Adding forums for C47, or WP43 implies official support from Swissmicros. Not sure if that's the message that Swissmicros wants to send. Perhaps if they had a disclaimer notice pinned to each forum section. Alternatively, SM could make a sub forum named “Modded S...
