Re: DM 48 .... WHY NOT ?!!!

But surely a far better route to RPL goodness, would be to utilise SM hardware to host NewRPL. That way you're getting 48/49/50 style user experience without any IP issues, and because it's coded in C, it's very fast. NewRPL is close to being '50g' feature complete (minus the CAS), so that's a plus ...

Re: HP 82240B Infra Red Portable Printer ?

Now onto your printer paper posting, very informative and thanks for the pictures. My use of the infrared printer is extensive due to its portability. I have noticed on all three printers, both HPIL and infrared that it will always print the first 4 lines very quickly then each successive line prin...

Just tested on my DM41X (DM41X V1.12a / DMCP 3.19): [ON] doesn't prevent the calculator to power-off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
Beat me to it. Got the same results here.

Maybe something in the underlying system firmware has changed since Bob last tested.

Re: Add a printer Trace Mode option to settings

The printer modes for the 82162A HP-IL printer are described in the 82160A HP-IL Module manual. IIRC the 4th mode (TRACE with Stack) is not implemented, as a small gesture to try to save a few branches, if not trees. Thanks. In truth I can mainly see myself using the printer in much the same way as...

Re: Add a printer Trace Mode option to settings

Trace mode is supported in the 41X. Although the emulation is based on the 82143A ROM, since there are no physical switches, the various modes are honored using the same Flag 15/16 settings as used for the 82162A printer. Trace mode: SF 15, CF 16 MAN, NORM and TRACE modes are all available. This is...

Re: HP 82240B Infra Red Portable Printer ?

For those who are interested and those that haven't owned a HP thermal printer the following picture shows the quality of the print on Eposgear premium thermal paper. Also, the print on the right shows what happens if you set the "Printer Line Delay" too low. This is detailed in the printe...

Re: Change Auto-Power-Off Time?

The ON function (disabling the auto-power-off after 10 mins) is described on p. 323 of the 42S OM. (not sure if you were asking about this?) The DM42 does correctly set fag 44 when executing ON, however you're right that it doesn't honor that setting and remain on indefinitely, so it needs to be ex...

Re: Sluggish behaviour whilst in USR mode (specific test case)

I've been experiencing sluggish stack behaviour at various points of my daily workflow since CST has been introduced. My initial suspicion was that it's connected to XEQ+ but once Ángel and I got that out of contention, I started to strip my setup to lessen the variables and honed in on PFCT as I'm ...
