Re: BAT indicator stuck on

aha! thanks very much Ian… On my DM42 currently, Vdd: 2953 (±3), Cal: 1663. The DM42 status line shows 2.92V, and an old analogue multimeter (I don't have a DMM handy) measuring the voltage between GND and VDD on the LPUART1 pads (next to the right hand PCB screw) reads just under 3V under load. So ...

Re: DM41X Beta Programme

Changed the battery, put in a fresh CR2032. BAT indicator still on. Tested old and new batteries on a tester: both show as full. Does this indicate a hardware issue with mine (s/n 4), or is there something I need to reset? Battery voltage (open circuit) is 3.2V. At the SPI2 header, Vcc is consisten...

Re: BAT indicator stuck on

thanks very much Bob, Ángel, Ian. It's worth the small effort to try a h/w reset via pin in the back, but I'd guess it won't change anything. … I'd already tried the reset button, no joy. I've removed the battery, held down the On button, and shorted the contacts, again no joy. Have done so again an...

BAT indicator stuck on

I posted the following in the main Beta thread, but didn't see any response. I've pinged Michael via email, no reply as yet. Anything I can do, please? thanks… Just got my Beta unit, wonderful, thanks very much. The BAT indicator is on, I take it that means I need to change the battery? hmm. Changed...

Re: DM41X Beta Programme

It's interesting that FAST/SLOW doesn't seem to affect CATALOG speed. Presumably that is forced slow to stop it being too fast to read :)

Re: DM41X Beta Programme

I've been playing with my DM41X this afternoon, and I've tried both the FAST and SLOW modes to see the difference. I read in the manual that the clock speed is 24 MHz when disconnected from USB and 80 MHz when connected to USB. This certainly indicates that there may be a difference between FAST mo...

Re: DM41X Beta Programme

I also note in the depths of the DMCP menus, there is a soft-key EXIT in some places (using the top-row buttons), but in many places there isn't.

The Backspace key works in both cases.

Re: DM41X Beta Programme

I've found that the backspace key works as expected in the DMCP menus, in place of exit.

I know that's not quite what you asked :)
