Re: [DM41L] CAT display too fast in 48MHz vs 12MHz

A video is worth a thousand words... https://youtu.be/m3VHwabpz4w (the link is private to this forum) Point made! I agree it's too fast to use, but all you need to do is immediately hit [R/S] as soon as you release [5] and then you can [BST] / [SST] your way through the catalog at leisure. Even if ...

Re: DM42 User Manual

... criticizing ... I am sure there is no intent by anyone to criticize in any other shape, manner, or form than constructively. There are opinions, which may be accepted or ignored at Swiss Micro's sole discretion. I believe the utility of opinions increase with precise formulation, discussion, an...

Re: DM42 User Manual

Another small team of same size worked with other priorities around 2011 as you know. But at the bottom line it's the decision of the team what to do when. We (the beta testers here) can just indicate what we observe and miss, be it in HW, SW, documentation, regulatorial issues, or elsewhere - in m...

Re: DM42 User Manual

I don't disagree with you guys that want good documentation, I value good manuals, and spend as much time (and sometimes money) searching for and collecting manuals that go with machines, as I see them as truly a part of the product. However, criticizing SM for not providing a complete manual when t...

Re: DM42 User Manual

It seems to me that folks that are smart enough to use the power and flexibility of the DM42 are also smart enough to remember a few possibly hidden keys. If pressed, then all you really need to remember is F2. If that's still a challenge, you probably shouldn't be using this machine.

Re: [DM15L] USB Power?

I want to crunch numbers with my DM15L and I need the power to last more than what the battery can give. If your needed calculations require more than the DM15L can provide on an entire battery, then perhaps you have chosen the wrong tool for the job. As awesome and fast as the DM15L is, it certain...

Re: Creating offimage

now, if i may trouble you, what did you use to convert? Sorry, I should have stated in my post above, that was using plain old MS Paint - in my case it was Win7, but Paint in Win10 is the same. Create a new file, use Properties to set the size and bit depth of 1 (B&W) and save settings (e.g. save t...

Re: Creating offimage

Geoff - set the file properties (400 x 240 and color to 1 bit depth) before you paste images in (or edit them, etc.) and it will generally come out as you're expecting; changing it after you're done all the editing/pasting, etc. produces the yucky images as it tries to dither down to 1-bit.

Re: [DM41L] CAT display too fast in 48MHz vs 12MHz

I find that the CAT function display speed is too fast (and different) in 48MHz than 12MHz. I find myself going to 12MHz before launching CAT to be able to read the display and than going back to 48MHz... Any way to slow it down in 48MHz or have same speed of display as in 12MHz? I don't have a DM4...

Would someone be kind enough to add the sleeping owl to this list ?
The original Owl image is used if you have no custom images installed. Remove any you've loaded and restart and it should be shown.
