Re: DM-42 in HP-41 font

Point being, every time I hear “goose” I think about my synthetic routine that ran the goose backwards with droppings. And that reminds me of the many fun HP-41 displays that decorated the HHC 2009 website , such as this one, which includes a backwards-flying goose with droppings!

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.17 / DM42-3.15rc1

Did anything change regarding state files? Which reminds me: I mislabelled a state file (clumsiness) and want to rename it or delete it and start over but I haven't yet found any options for either. Possible? Assuming this is on a DM42.... 1. Connect the USB FAT drive 2. On your PC or MAC, use File...

Nothing ugly about that goose! Even after almost 40 years, it still makes me smile... :D

Thanks Joe!

Re: Old HP42s programs

That character in line 172 is part of the built-in character set. Press [Alpha] [Down] [Misc] [F5] [Alpha]. The other issue might be because you don't have enough registers allocated for storage. I don't see any comment on the minimum SIZE needed in the program description, but it does use several r...

Re: Access 1st line menu

Less precipitation and more concentration should suffice. And don't touch the first line if there is no menu. Thats all :) I agree with the OP. Those functions shouldn't be there at all. If you mean they should not be displayed there, press F2 and they won't be. These were promoted to the F-key men...

Re: Flags status DM42

Nice looking output! Thanks for sharing this.

What SIZE is needed to run?

Update: Seems to be 83.

Run time is near-instantaneous, even on batteries. Impressive. :)

Not again... it's you-know-who still... even after all these years... sigh... I hardly ever even hear talk about it here anymore... it's sad...

Re: Change Auto-Power-Off Time?

None yet. It turns out this wasn't implemented on the 41X, the testing we did was for a related feature, thus my confusion. It's probably more accurate to say that this was not implemented until this report. It's much better now 8-) And so, the issue may or may not be related to DMCP, but it will be...

Re: [DM15L] Analysis of a function f(x)

Why not just edit the original post to correct the error? You (as the author) can do that, but no one else can. But I'd also add a note to the right, commenting that the line was corrected. Also, please use code tags when posting long programs, to shorten the display and make copy/paste a bit easier...
