Re: DM42 Firmware V3.1 available

Yup. Me too. I like having the help file separate from the firmware. I especially like the fact that the DM42 can render html as well as it does. No one needs an oddball format for producing documents compatible with their calculator! Absolutely. One of the production users was already writing his ...

Re: DM42 Firmware V3.1 available

No. The tool doesn't do that. The instructions say, "The help file itself is not part of the firmware so that it can be updated without users having to flash a new complete firmware. " sorry but I read that as providing the capability to update the help file without the need to flash the firmware. ...

Re: DM42 Firmware V3.1 available

the update appeared to work fine for me on my beta unit but it did not create or populate the HELP folder.

I am copying the HELP in manually, but was the dm_tool flash supposed to do that?

Thanks

Re: HPLOT

grsbanks, you are a huge help.

because I prefer GrMod selection m3234 style like you did in DJPLOT, I've abandoned HPLOT and started working in DJPLOT. Also, the tick marks are great.

Re: HPLOT

So, it's actually simpler than I thought. Here I was, hunting through alpha menus looking for the "pi" character but of course, it's right there on the roll key (shifted). Duh. Where you would otherwise issue the "PIXEL" command for a little dot at the X,Y coordinates in the X and Y registers, use t...

No, this was something I wrote in the WP43S manual. ;)

Luckily for you, I didn't patent my big dot idea some months ago.

Just kidding ...
was it something you posted in the beta test board? Sorry if I missed it. I've been trying to find a good solution to this for a while.

Re: HPLOT

After a couple of days thinking about this and re-reading the manual's explanation of AGRAPH, I think there's a simple and easy solution to the PLOT program's thin plot lines. Instead of using PIXEL to try to draw more pixels, a big pixel 3x3 pixels in size can be drawn by AGRAPH with three pi chara...

Re: buttons that don't register well

I keep having problems with the Enter key. Only works right on its left side. On the right side, keystrokes are recognised but no hactic feedback or click sound at all. I haven't tried anything related to this key since I haven't read any solution to this type of problem. there's a screw right behi...
