Re: Store and recall display format

But that's the fun part?
The first part is 'make it work'.
Second is to improve it and make short, elegant code - even if today we have memory galore. Old habits die hard.

Thanks Bob. Tweaked it a little, and updated the previous post accordingly.

Re: Store and recall display format

Here's my latest concoction. I decided to focus solely on Save & Restore functionality, but without use of the STACK matrix. So, the following programs Save and Restore the Mode (well, display mode FIX/SCI/ENG/ALL, DEGRAD, Thousands separator, comma or decimal point, Rectangular/Polar and Complex or...

Re: Store and recall display format

Update: code removed as it contained bugs (yes, plural. I'm slipping). See a few posts down for a much improved version. Hi Bob, I was referring to this , the POP/PUSH stack program that needs a 4-column matrix to hold the stack levels. The following program uses that STACK matrix, and will SAVE and...

Re: Store and recall display format

I just wrote those, as it happens. I include the radix and 1000th separator as well. STO/RCL Mode _______________ Recalls and restores the status of FIX/SCI/ENG/ALL, RDX and 1000th's separator RCLMODE In: Out: mode x y z STOMODE In: mode Out: y z t t 00 { 101-Byte Prgm } 01▸LBL "RCLMODE" 02 36.041 0...

Re: AVIEW without prompt (on DM41)

When flag 21 is SET (printer present), AVIEW will stop, and when clear, it will not stop.

Re: Bug? Unresolved reference or dangling pointer (so to say)

Can't reproduce it either.
Tried on a 42S, on Free42 iOS 2.0.11, and DM42 3.1, all behave exactly the same.

Re: Append to CATALOG

If you want to have more programs in the CUSTOM menu, create your own 'libraries' and assign those to one of the 18 available positions. This is what I do: Say I have a number of programs that I'd like to group in one menu button. Take SCM, GCD, CEIL, FLOOR and MANT, for instance, that I'll group as...

Re: Access to the DM42 virtual variables

I just use a program with MVAR instructions for the 6 virtual variables, then SOLVE it. Same effect.
