Re: Updating from 3.3 to 3.10

Indeed indeed. There are pure power USB cables which do nothing with the data. I had that twice. Trashed one of them now at the office. However you immediately notice that as when you plug in the right one Windows immediately recognizes it as a drive whilst with the power only cable it does not.

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.11 / DM42-3.11

No error correction no nothing. Just a super simple high-level estimate. So let's see how the next month goes. Mildy and not using the DM42

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.11 / DM42-3.11

We're 5 days further and without using the DM42. I've checked today and we're at 2.83V. So at this rate the DM42 will be at 2.00V (not working) in about 2000 days. 0.02V per 5 days drop assumed. Guess this is worthwhile keeping an eye on still.

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.11 / DM42-3.11

My battery dropped pretty quick from 3.00V to now 2.85V and is stable now for 24 hrs contrary to my expectations and earlier battery consumption ( batery died within a month without using the calculator and on V3.00 software).

No problems with the upgrade or with the battery consumption when switched off?

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.11 / DM42-3.11

I have the same issue. The strange thing is that when it got delivered it lasted 6 Months or so. The only thing which changes is that I started to have some programs loaded onto the FAT drive. Like the DICE program. And that I changed the settings on time/date and font-size. I guess that also in ter...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.11 / DM42-3.11

Well. If I take out the battery and measure it on various DMMs then it's within approx 0.05v correct. and of course the battery recuperates a little bit when you leave it unconnected. I need to start measuring the current when switched off I guess. Mine is going rapidly down again (3rd battery soon ...

Re: Battery life

BATTERY: was nicely on 3.00V during update process etc. Now every 5 minutes going down with 0.01V. Doing nothing. Just switching on and off. No calculation nothing. I guess this is not good. I will buy new different branded batteries, though this is a reputable brand, but assume something is wrong. ...
