Re: Where are the calculators manufactured?

What is killing us Canadian at the moment are the exchange rates. -> from xe.com /// 1 EUR = 1.59277 CAD /// 1 CHF = 1.36122 CAD /// 1 USD = 1.28881 CAD /// I hear you man.. Since the socalled blue-blue "government" of Norway has been in charge, the Norwegian Krone (or should I say "monopoly ...

Re: How did you discover SwissMicros?

But, I'd still buy a DM41L (some time), and maybe (most probably) my disliking of the landscape will fade :) Don't count on it. Keyboard rearrangement on DM41 is an abominion. :!: Keyboard rearrangement on DM41 is an abominion. :!: Signore Massimo, if you'd say "abomination" I'd say 1+. ;) Ok, as a...

Re: DM42 Firmware V3.4 available

Thanks to David, Michael, Thomas and grsbanks for making all this happen. I've just done my very first update, from the "stock" 3.0 to 3.4a. Mostly I've been reluctant due to the very quarrelsome win10 and "unsigned drivers" and also, I've had other priorities when at home from work (seaman). Anyway...

Re: How did you discover SwissMicros?

The landscape/portrait thing doesn't come into it as far as I'm concerned; I'm equally at home with either. Thanks for your input. I have no reasonably or rational explanation of why I don't like landscape calculators. What I *definetly* don't like, is credit card size calcs. I have one, bou...

Re: How did you discover SwissMicros?

Like most, through MoHPC. Being an "RPN-aholic" since my first purchase of a used HP-28s in 1992, I actually struggle using a (according to wife) "normal" calc. Through the MoHPC I found useful help, tips an programs for my collection of HP calcs. A few threads referenced the "SwissMicros" and I got...

I confess: I'm doing ON/OFF sequence more times to see drawn OFF Images to appear: too nice! :-)

Re: Request for Links to Open in New Windows

For what it's worth and I'm not sure how universal this will be, but I just middle click on a post using my mouse wheel as a button and that opens posts in a new tab. This doesn't even need a second hand for CTRL...I use Firefox in Linux. :) Edit: I just tried it in Windows 10 with IE, and it works...

For anything which made us deserve to be Trumped...
I don't remember anything Norway has done in the last four decades deserving such a penalty. YMMV, of course.

Re: Some images from (not of) Scotland

Last of the updates for this week I think. I've got rid of the two I didn't think worked well (the bubble chamber and inertial frames) and added a few more. Finally a 'Scottish' image too! https://dm42-offimg-library.s3.amazonaws.com/20180105-2%20OFFIMG.zip Ooh, the Palomino Blackwing 602. "Half th...
