Re: Updating from 3.3 to 3.10

... I have 3.10 on the calculator and the PC beeps indicating it is recognizing the USB device, but it does NOT show in file manager. ... I had an HDD that behaved like that. It was a faulty cable error. Have you tried a different cable? Have you tried to "roll back" the driver in your PC? Have you...

Re: Updating from 3.3 to 3.10

...and even when I activate USB disk mode, it does NOT appear on my PC, even though the driver is installed and 'working properly'. I'm concerned how to do further updates. TomC How do you activate your DM? I do it this way (and maybe it is an approach you can try, if you have not tried yet): Calc ...

Images from DA74254

Hmm, a bit since last updat here. So, I thought of sharing a few images which I've taken personally. Maybe also they will be to "personal" for others to have interest in them, but if you like them, please use as you see fit :) This zip-file contains 2 images. (Both tested and found working on the DM...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.10 / DM42-3.10

Thank you very much.
Updated via the "all-inclusive" .bin file and then copied over the two .prg files so that I can switch between :)

Re: 43S Poll (yes, here is one!)

I also voted for the far left.
Contrary to dlachieze, I like the white number keys, but agree on all other points.

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.9a / DM42-3.9.1 / dm_tool-2.4

There are three files listed on the firmware page: 1. DM42-3.9.1.pgm (648KB) 2. DMCP_flash_3.9a.bin (265KB) 3. DMCP_flash_3.9a_DM42-3.9.1.bin (968KB) Is that third one the combination of 1 and 2? If so, we only need to copy #3 to the DM-42 drive, correct? Yes, that is a single image with both compo...

Re: Somehow unrelated but related...somehow

That's the fun with 9's :) If you do 1/99^2 you get all numbers from 00 to 99, exept 98 after the decimal point. 1/999^2 (1/998001), you get your result 1/9999^2 (1/99980001) and its 0000-9999 except 9998 after decimal point. And so on.. I use Maxima with bfloat command (bigfloat or large floating p...

Re: Why was Stainless Steel used for the DM42?

Stainless Steel is best since it has a very high tensile strength...It is very strong, much stronger than plain steel of the same thickness etc. That has been my experience. Why then do the stainless steel screws I use break far more readily that the plain steel ones? Stainless steel ones seem to b...
