Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.10 / DM42-3.10

Reverting back to 3.9.1
No crashes.
5^E10 returns "out of range"
Bench 10.000 takes abt a minute and returns 13.955,8579043 after abt a minute.

So, sticking with the 3.9.1 for the time being.

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.10 / DM42-3.10

Am I to understand that people other than Mark are finding V3.10 to be unstable? I'm not talking about the excessive power consumption when off, I mean the device crashing. Yes, I was able to reproduce another error on two different devices (SN00480 and SN00155). For example. Input: 5 ENTER 1E10 y^...

Another update:
100 runs successfully and finishes at abt 2 secs. 1.000 crashes after abt 3 secs.

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.10 / DM42-3.10

How high do you go on the "bench"?
I tried 10.000 and it took abt 29 seconds. Version 3.10 (IFC 03.09) with DM42 3.10

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.10 / DM42-3.10

@Leechpool: Flash should take under a minute. You get a status display with info about the installed firmware and an "Press exit to continue", where the DM resets and loads whatever you have asked it to load. For the others; I've tried all the programs I have loaded without crashes and also a solver...

Re: Updating from 3.3 to 3.10

Hmm, OK. But there is a tiny slim maybe skinny chance that your PC *might* have correupted the QSPI via a faulty USB port. I admit it is fairly thin, that chance, given all the tries you have done. Garbeled results in the stack does not sound very good, though. As a last resort before invoking Micha...

Re: Updating from 3.3 to 3.10

Have you tried another PC, or even maybe a phone (Android/Iphone) via OTG? Just to bring to evidence that it *is* the calc and not the device(s) you connect to. And - do you connect to USB3 or USB2 port? I have actually experienced that USB3 will "pling" but not show up as the drive (QSPI) is to "sm...

Re: Updating from 3.3 to 3.10

If your QSPI is faulty/corrupt, you have "nothing to lose" in trying either 4. or 5. as described in the manual. http://www.swissmicros.com/dm42/doc/dm42_user_manual/#qspi_load_menu If you successfully manage to format the QSPI (Maybe you lose some space if there are corrupt blocks in it, but the 5....

Re: Updating from 3.3 to 3.10

Try the v3.5 from here:
http://www.swissmicros.com/dm42/firmwar ... _versions/
Thats the "first" one to allow later updates via FAT. If you get that one running, then you may try the combofile of v 3.10
