Question about fonts
Hi all, Do the fonts of the DM1x/41L come standard in the LCD ROM? or are they conveyed through the firmware? if its conveyed through the firmware... - instead of (normal, bold, square) for the DM1xL can't we have rather (normal, bold, HP-1X font) - and instead of only (normal) for DM41L (normal, HP...
Re: DM42L ?!?
Hi, The only thing that counts is sales/business! No? DM42L can hit the market if there is a business case for it AND it doesn't jeopardise DM42 sales. Wait until the DM42 R&D investment on new HW and SW is covered and we shall see... Edit : but you are right, an early announcement of DM42L is n...

Re: Does 12MHz save power?
Every operation or calculation uses the same amount of energy regardless of the CPU speed. Ok Michael for CPU. But what about LCD? If we run slower (4x) LCD will be "ON" 4x longer for the same calculation? So it will draw 4x time more than when we run faster for the same calculation. No?

Re: [DM41L] CAT display too fast in 48MHz vs 12MHz
Hi all,
Sorry to insist
...
BUT a CAT 5 (alarm list) is UNREADABLE on a DM41L @ 48MHz!
Just try it please with 3 or more alarms.
Thanks,
Boubker.

Re: [DM15L] USB Power?
It's not an issue... just asking... When I am away from my desk, I have my DM15L (or DM41L) and always an USB battery pack... and I don't have an HP Prime... My next 200€ will definitely go to the DM42 😀 Just my .02€ to improve already GREAT products : - May be next HW version of DMxxL could also be...

[DM15L] USB Power?
Hi all,
I want to crunch numbers with my DM15L and I need the power to last more than what the battery can give.
Can I use USB port to power the DM15L while it is "running" ?
Sincerely,
Boubker.

[DM41L] En/Decoder seams to ovewrite display format
Hi all, still playing with my DM41L and DM15L. Wonderfull calculators :D DM41L En/Decoder tool seams to overwrite display format (SCI, FIX, ENG). Try this... reset the DM41L to have a blank calculator, put the display in FIX 9 for example (any thing but FIX 4) switch to CONSOLE and use Putty ("...

[DM41L] CAT display too fast in 48MHz vs 12MHz
Hi all, As the title says it all... I find that the CAT function display speed is too fast (and different) in 48MHz than 12MHz. I find myself going to 12MHz before launching CAT to be able to read the display and than going back to 48MHz... Any way to slow it down in 48MHz or have same speed of disp...
