Re: Displaying Strings on the Screen

After starting it, I got a "size error" at line 17 of "DISPLAY". This is command STO IND 00. What I am doing wrong? Cheers Meino You need to set the number of storage registers to 150. SIZE command is in the MODES menu. Select SIZE 150 That will allow for 150 storage registers. Bill Smithville, NJ

Hi Meino, To display a string: Load the Alpha Register with the String that is to be displayed Store a complex number in Register "P". Re: Displaying Strings on the Screen

Meino, I think your post should be moved to "Usage tips, tricks and problem reports" since your question is on how the File List works and not on my routines. You would pro bally get a better response there to your question. Did you get a chance to try the routines I provided and do you have any com...

Re: Windows error message when Activate USB Disk

Never let it an never had problems with the disks :) Thanks. Just wanted to make sure that I hadn't corrupted the Fat ...

Windows error message when Activate USB Disk

I'm running Windows 7. Whenever I plug in the DM42 and "Activate USB Disk", I get the following pop-up message: "Do you want to scan and fix DM42 (G)?" I've been selecting "Continue with scanning" and everything seems to work fine. Should I be concerned? Should I Format the Fat Disk or do a Fat Medi...

Re: Hardware: but not an issue ;-)

I've been experimenting with using the ASTECH Hard Case. I have cut a couple of pieces of leather and then wedged it on both sides of the DM42 and it works pretty good. But it sits a little low in the case. So thinking of mounting some rubber feet to inside of the Hard Case which should raise the ca...

Re: DM42 Firmware V3.1 available

This discussion about the use of commas reminded me of the story about the comma that cost a company a million dollars (Canadian).

Re: Many HP42S programs found party with explanations

The links in the first part of that page all point to www.hp42s.com, which used to be Erik Ehrling's site, long defunct. The Japanese page you end up on looks like a domain registrar. Did anyone ever archive Erik's site? One option is to use the Wayback Machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20040715...
