BCD is a specific way of encoding decimal in binary, with each digit being encoded using a group of four bits, and the Intel library uses a different , more efficient, encoding internally. From Intel lib's README: The ...

Any idea when this manual will be available/accessible?
We're still working on what to put in it, so hold your horses :)
Is there an idea to make a high quality pocket variant of a kind of quick reference manual?

Re: What would be the ultimate calculator in 2017?

The 42S didn't have a big enough screen to be useful, I guess. HP was very conservative. I've seen calculators with less graphics functionality than the 42S still marketed as graphics calculators (The Casio 6300G/Durabrand/LeWorld calculators come to mind). There could be a difference in semantics ...

Re: What would be the ultimate calculator in 2017?

But personally I do prefer higher resolution of black&white display, metal housing and long battery life of DM42 :) Don't forget the smaller size of DM42 :) although NumWork is pretty compact for a graphic calculator. Yes, DM42 is smaller. And with upcoming FW update it will be very small RPN graph...

Re: What would be the ultimate calculator in 2017?

An interesting open source calculator https://www.engadget.com/2017/08/28/numworks-graphing-calculator/#/ That is very nice. Seems the software is written in C... so it's just a matter of learning C and adding RPN functionality? :) yes, everything is in Github :) https://github.com/numworks/epsilon...

All the hardware 3d designs are available so if you wanted to, you could print your own hardware.
Interesting! So the only thing is missed is PCB design files?

Re: What would be the ultimate calculator in 2017?

Very nice and clean design. Looks like designed in Western Europe or by Apple. :) Or by Fisher Price.... I'm sorry but that kind of design does absolutely nothing for me! I want METAL! Oh come on! No one cares about their customers enough to make a metal calculator anymore. Oh wait...I'm ...
