Re: Accented characters in Help browser

The HTML parser only recognises a small subset of HTML entities and tags in order to keep the code footprint as low as possible. It is not a full blown browser. You can try using é in your example or by ensuring that your help file is encoded in UTF-8 with no BOM. If that doesn't work then I...

Accented characters in Help browser

I would like to translate the integrated help from English to French, but I have an issue: the French accented characters (à é è ù û ç …) are not recognized by the DM42 Help browser and are displayed as “?”
Is there a plan to support them in a future version?

Re: Updater software

hi, just now I've not a DM42, however I'm preparing and installing the software for it. Using the updater (dm1x_41_updater.exe).... dm1x_41_updater.exe is not the right software for the DM42. See the manual for the update instructions. There is one thing to know: on the DM42 production units, enter...

Re: Purpose of DMflash-2.3.bin?

DMflash is used when Flashing QSPI using dfu-util, so DMflash_2.3.bin is just the last version of this tool, to be used only if you have to update the QSPI and if you use dfu-util and not dm_tool.

Re: Access to the DM42 virtual variables

I just use a program with MVAR instructions for the 6 virtual variables, then SOLVE it. Same effect. Good idea! I have updated my virtvar program to add a second menu line allowing to directly select the graphic mode and/or which LCD item is refreshed without the need to know the virtual variable c...

Access to the DM42 virtual variables

Here is a program to retrieve and update the value of the 6 different virtual variables of the DM42. With XEQ "VirtV" you get a menu to access each virtual variable. Press the corresponding F-key to recall the variable value or enter a value and press the corresponding F-key to update the value of t...

Re: Just for the fun of it...the savage benchmark

One parameter influencing a program execution time on the DM42 is the value of the virtual variable RefLCD which controls how the screen is refreshed. On my DM42 v3.1, running the program of grsbanks with the default value (7) takes 20.59s, however with RefLCD set to 0 (no refresh) it takes only 13....

What is the "my keyboard adhesive fix"?
There was an issue on the beta units with the keyboard bezel not sticking correctly to the unit. See here for the description of Geoff's keyboard adhesive fix.
