@ H2X on Keyboard Layout in flux / platform cost savings re: yellow sprue / user friendly labeling / etc
Definitely the first one that relates the key to the two faceplate colors!

Re: 43S Alternative key layout

If we're to share the function of the f and g keys, please don't forget the color cues that are so important. I'd go for a key like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2x1xushgwvcmf7v/FG%20Key.png?dl=1 That would require colouring and printing on the key - but the space above it is free. Would labels f...

So it sounds like better wait for version 3.15.
Or don't hold down more than one key at a time!
Or, even better, make 1 sec pause after each keystroke while checking display.
That's how I type anyway! :)

Yeah, thinking often helps. ;)
I try to avoid that whenever possible. :D I do note that since I can now store all my contact information in my phone, my ability to remember phone numbers has decreased markedly. Old age has nothing to do with it (does it?)

Re: What about the latest Update?

Hmmm. I was thinking of using EBML as the basis of the state file at first, but when I started thinking about platform-neutral state files again a few weeks ago, it occurred to me that EBML may be overkill. It offers a degree of flexibility that Free42 doesn't really need, and that flexibility come...

Re: 43S News

%T might be nice (like the 12C), especially given it’s near % & Δ% . The other thing I program as a user key on most calcs is log y (x), but you may already have that on a key? Just an idea. Log x (y) is an unshifted function in EXP . %T returns - according to my information - 100 x/y. If this is t...

Re: Encoder/decoder

That's something we Windows users aren't used to. We like choosing files from dialog boxes. Not this Windows user. 8-) Keyboard shortcuts are easier, faster and not as prone to oops. And even if you do somehow oops, Ctrl-Z fixes that too. My fingers have done this for so long, I sometimes have to l...
