Any luck michel_b and boessu with your replacement unit and pressure re-stick?

Is the keyboard faceplate holding?

Thanks

Re: Improved Keyboard????

Does anyone know if these oily domes, causing keys sometimes to fail registering, are also used in the DM1xL/41L units?

Thanks

Re: DM15L keyboard faceplate is separating

The reports we see are no doubt just the "tip of the iceberg". To me the reports do not look like copies of others' reports. Just look at the recent Youtube review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YCshnVVuHTI&t=383s - the guy even explains that had the unit replaced once by SM and rece...

Re: DM15L keyboard faceplate is separating

Thanks pcscote for sharing your fix to the separating faceplate issue. I also sympathise with mezoganet's frustration especially given the price of those units and the several reports that seem to indicate that this is a known defect of some/most DMxL production batches / possibly a design issue tha...

Re: DM15L keyboard faceplate is separating

Is there a solution to the lifting keyboard face plate? A recent review of the DM15L on Youtube states: "This SwissMicros DM15L is the second unit I've had, when the first unit arrived the keyboard overlay was lifting from the calculator. I contacted SwissMicros and they said to return it and t...

Re: DM15L keyboard response?

Thanks for your feedback. Interesting point about the keyboard response being good at 48MHz. May be something to improve in next gen DM1xL devices (or in the firmware?). The nutcore processor of the original HP-15C runs at less than 400KHz (that is 30 times slower than the DM1xL at 12MHz) and regist...

DM15L keyboard response?

An amazon verified purchaser of a DM15L on 11 Jan 2018 reported that ".. I found that if you press the keys too fast, the numbers won't register which leads to mistakes in my calculations. I have to slow down and recheck everything I do.." Also I found the the following comment on http://c...

Re: buttons that don't register well

Another reviewer on Amazon had the keyboard issue (20 Jan 2019): "20 January 2019 - Published on Amazon.com Verified Purchase. "..I too had some keyboard issues. Michael at Swiss Micros helped me out. It took some time and some patience.." The keyboard issue, at least on the DM42, see...

Re: buttons that don't register well

Keyboard issues on the DM1xL seem to be indeed less frequently reported but do occur still (plus I believe that only a few people report issues so what we see on the net is probably just the 'tip of the iceberg'). As recently as 11 Jan 2018 one Amazon (verified) reviewer of the DM15L said : ".....

Re: buttons that don't register well

Am thinking about purchasing a DM15L and possibly a DM42 later on but this issue of key presses reliability seems to persist even with latest production batches of DM42 and given the cost of those units I am hesitating to buy. I suppose that the DM1xL use the same keyboard technology and that this k...
