Re: DM41X

Perhaps CONF shows the configuration screen as seen on Godwin's post (#2) in the DM41X thread on the MoHPC.

And the hits keep coming! You've already done so much, but would you consider a second version of the calendar with the weeks starting on Sunday?

Re: Useful Content for the "Ultimative OFFIMG"

toml and Logan are right - the Lanthanoids and Actinoids are essential for a complete periodic table. Please tell me if you have any suggestions or find some errors (I had some typos in the old version). Regards deetee Astonishing work. This version will definitely go on my every-day use DM42. Re: Cons (predominantly) and pros (if any) of agile development

My professional opinion after a decade of Agile methodology is extremely, extremely negative. I've seen much better results using Waterfall. Please, give me thousands of pages of well thought out project documentation before starting development in earnest. Explaining Software Development Methods By...

Re: Running an HP 50g program on the DM42

Many, many years ago while at university, I made extra money as a machinist creating custom parts for hydraulic presses that made synthetic diamonds. Precision was everything, so all calibrations were made using Gauge Blocks . The key to a precise measurement was to use the fewest number of gauge st...

Re: DM42 can FW not be updated from built-in memory? (kann kein FW-Update vom eingebauten Datenträger durchführen)

Godwin,

There might be a real issue here. I had the exact same "freezing" problem updating my production DM42 from 3.11 to 3.12. I thought nothing of it and used dm_tool to manually flash the combined binary. I did not have any issues updating my two beta units from flash.

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.10 / DM42-3.10

See this message above (https://forum.swissmicros.com/viewtopic.php?p=9071#p9049) However, there are multiple benchmarks available so we need to get clarification from Mark regarding which benchmark it is that he used. Sorry not to be more specific about which BENCH I was using. Here's the code I'm...

Re: UPDATE: DMCP-3.10 / DM42-3.10

I believe the compiler optimizations are still causing problems. After upgrading one of my beta DM42s (00043) and my production DM42 (00357), my first thought was to compare them to the remaining beta unit (00065) to verify the predicted 5% speed improvement. I ran 1000 BENCH side-by-side with a 3.9...
