Re: C47: Integration performance and accuracy

Good thoughts, thanks. I am running behind on your posts - I will definitely get to them. First finishing off the TVM... First thing popping into my mind - I could, without changing any of the complicated internals behind the "modes", see if a fifth mode is not maybe possible with a tempor...

Re: C47 TVM

There is no CLTVM command and I think it should be a button on g[F5] next to FIN to clear all the visible registers values to defaults. I believe the defaults should be 0 as indicated below except for the two periods per annum which should be 12, for the reason that a practical monthly compound inte...

Re: C47 TVM

I like the way you've arranged the menu. Although I didn't see the need for it, seeing the values entered for the different variables is handy. For my part, I'll lighten the names of certain variables, as was done for the HP-12c, HP-48G, Prime and several others. Systematically adding the term peri...

Re: C47 TVM

I agree - it's a real improvement on the previous version. Two suggestions, neither of which is trivial and both of which can safely be ignored: In the glyph \(\rm p\over a\) the horizontal line looks like a fraction bar and p looks like the numerator. This is a little confusing - my natural readin...

Re: C47 Classic single shift, replaces C43 on DM42

Thanks again for a great release with a lot of improvements! I am impressed each time that the team manages to find new ways to improve and expand features that seemed complete to me. My unsolicited observations and feedback on 0.109.01.01a: Matrices Transferred to Gitlab issue Equations I still fi...

Re: C47 TVM

I have reworked the menu and the layout and the subscript numbers and the font as was discussed earlier. It costed me an absurd amount of time to get it to this point! This is the reason I have not evn properly read the good posts, started by Nigel, on the integration thread. I had my head into this...

Re: C47 Classic single shift, replaces C43 on DM42

You would also notice in this regard that the combined PDF with all pages, now got a number in the file name now, and will not be updated except for major releases, hence the release info: that is because it literally takes me hours to shuffle in pages into a thick document using my old paid for PD...

Re: C47 TVM

Three good responses thanx.

I put something together using a selection of all inputs and some further playing around. Now I need to make the glyph, which is no issue, but the font software is on a different pc, at home, so I’ll do that this weekend before making a demo firmware.

Re: C47 TVM

I am going through the application and see some UI improvement possibility. Let me bounce it off here: 20240411-11370200.bmp . 1. I can add the basic short form values in the softkeys. See example mockup. 2. The "/a" to my eye seems wrong. I don't particularly like the "a" for an...

Re: C47 TVM

Nigel, thank you very much for taking the time to add this parameter to the TVM application. I've just tried it out and, as you say, the calculations are perfectly accurate. Calculating monthly payments on the calculator is much quicker than with the old version. Once again, thank you for improving...
