Why the pale yellow on light grey?
Taste and visual impact. To reduce the stark contrast the DM42 original has. A bit of a throwback to the HP stuff.

C47 simulator crash

In the emulator (Revision 0.109.01.01Alpha of 2024 April 02) pressing any key (e.g. numbers, minus sign) on my physical keyboard immediately crashes the emulator. Clicking the emulator buttons works fine. Windows 11 Pro, Ryzen 64 bit processor, latest patches as at time of writing. netizensmith, pl...

Re: C47 TVM

First point: Graphics: Here a test, compare with the previous rendition. I do think the space between i and %/a would need to be modified a bit, but lets first gauge support. I am 51/49 on one of them, reserving my comment for which one is 51 to sleep over it. . 20240417-00221200.bmp . Lets get some...

Re: C47 Classic single shift, replaces C43 on DM42

Press realSlv and the stack shows "Accuracy = 0, x = -3, x = -2.5". Where is the -3 coming from? The algorithms between cpxSlv and realSlv vastly differ and the Y-register value is supposed to indicate the previous or last iteration x value. Ok, is there any value in providing that last i...

Re: C47: Integration performance and accuracy

Good thoughts, thanks. I am running behind on your posts - I will definitely get to them. First finishing off the TVM... First thing popping into my mind - I could, without changing any of the complicated internals behind the "modes", see if a fifth mode is not maybe possible with a tempor...

Re: C47 TVM

There is no CLTVM command and I think it should be a button on g[F5] next to FIN to clear all the visible registers values to defaults. I believe the defaults should be 0 as indicated below except for the two periods per annum which should be 12, for the reason that a practical monthly compound inte...

Re: C47 TVM

I like the way you've arranged the menu. Although I didn't see the need for it, seeing the values entered for the different variables is handy. For my part, I'll lighten the names of certain variables, as was done for the HP-12c, HP-48G, Prime and several others. Systematically adding the term peri...

Re: C47 TVM

I agree - it's a real improvement on the previous version. Two suggestions, neither of which is trivial and both of which can safely be ignored: In the glyph \(\rm p\over a\) the horizontal line looks like a fraction bar and p looks like the numerator. This is a little confusing - my natural readin...

Re: C47 Classic single shift, replaces C43 on DM42

Thanks again for a great release with a lot of improvements! I am impressed each time that the team manages to find new ways to improve and expand features that seemed complete to me. My unsolicited observations and feedback on 0.109.01.01a: Matrices Transferred to Gitlab issue Equations I still fi...

Re: C47 TVM

I have reworked the menu and the layout and the subscript numbers and the font as was discussed earlier. It costed me an absurd amount of time to get it to this point! This is the reason I have not evn properly read the good posts, started by Nigel, on the integration thread. I had my head into this...
