Re: May 2021 Speculations
...and for 2020, almost none of that at all... ...an inglorious ending for such an inspiring and creative team for so many years. :( Bob, could you please elaborate a little on this. What did we miss? I worry whether I must start worrying. Very short roundup: Way back, in the golden age of Bill H. ...

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C
I successfully compile/run the C43 simulator on linux. Now I'm trying to build my own firmware, using the scripts in DMCP_build, which I'm working my way through. My question is how do I build the pgm files for L1 vs L42 keyboard layout, and does the default scripts produce the L1 or L42 layout? Th...

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C
As you all may have noticed, there is a fundamental UI difference between 43S and C43 which hasn’t been discussed here. Great to hear! The take away from your message is that our intention with the ‘42S inspired operation’ is hitting spot on! As you all may have noticed, there is a fundamental UI difference between 43S and C43 which hasn’t been discussed here. That is the single [ .ms ] button versus the two buttons ...

For differentiation, there are numeric methods for estimating the slope at the end points. For example here . There are higher order methods which are often more accurate and since you're plotting the values, the function will have been evaluated at several equally spaced points already -- i.e. the...

Re: DM42 Fasteners
I sent an email and SM is sending replacement screws. It would be easier if I was simply provided the screw size as requested and I could get the screws at a local hardware store. However, I appreciate the customer service and look forward to using my DM42 without being extra careful. :) Maybe once...

... produce a table of the roots found in a matrix on the stack X-Register. I read today that some HPs do such table. The HP71, if I'm not mistaken. I searched and found the reference to be the HP71 Math Pac. Specifically, the PROOT keyword is for polynomial roots, and stores all these roots in a m...

Switching fonts for plaintext with all your foreign language support was not trivial. The small font contains many characters not available in the large font, which would require either font creation (for no good reason)... What you call "foreign language" may well be the native language ...
