Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

..., what about the text superscript currently on shift O. How about shift M for that? Seems to be fitting on 'R^'. That's fine with me, it makes perfect sense! On second thought, f[X<>Y] already produces the <> arrows, and that we would loose the <>. I think that <> must rather stay on f[M]. I thi...

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

Well done! I clearly see Inautilus’ hand in the mockup you made from the old template. ;) Nice! There are a few graphical tweaks that we since made to the old layout which will get onto the metal template. Only button changes are top left and top right. We since removed the white texts right above, ...

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

In the post earlier this week, I neglected to add the details of how the direct, DM42 compatible layout, changed after the changes above. Below a pic, blue functions exist, but of course are not shown on the original DM42. Green boxes show the latest change, with a link here to the detail of both la...

That 'boxed alpha' looks like a lower case 'a' of some fonts to me. Best alphas are found in Symbol and Times New Roman IMO.
Thanx. We will re-evaluate.

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

That ALPHA label on the XEQ key looks a tad heavy considering the other labels on the top row - did you consider a greek letter α instead? Thanx! The text ALPHA is used on the simulator. Special characters on the sim is hard, which must be the reason Martin changed the WP43S to a full graphic simul...

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

A week or two passed without a new download, but that does not mean the we sat still. Contributions to download: C43 Simulator for Windows: https://classic43.com/downloads/C43_EMU_2020-11-24_Rel47.zip Be sure to delete the binary.bin file from the C43 folder prior to running. Thanks Dani for the he...

Re: 43S Alternative key layout --> WP43C

This week's work on C43: No new C43 simulator or C43 DM42 firmware for download this week, due to the work not being completed as yet. But first, after some turbulence today on the other thread regarding the operator positions and the sequence of the operators on the WP43S, I thought it good to remi...

Re: 43S News

Poll is a good suggestion. Maybe the three options, scored or ranked. I can see the advantage to ask those who committed. However, restricting it to those, is also like asking catholic monks if they are catholic. The 80 odd people already made peace with the fact it is as advertised, whether they li...

Re: 43S News

You can't really say that. There are a heap of units in red, and in green, and then some others too, but where the magnet is to change either that for the 43S, I do not know. If it had been the other way around, could one still speak of a proven concept?! I don't think so, since most people are rig...

Re: 43S News

In my opinion it was pretty much a mixed bag around the turn of the decade on the sequence of the operators prior to HP. Operators mostly on the right hand side though. Correct, and for this very reason, the operators should always be arranged on the right side! You can see that on the HP Prime, ev...
