Anyone else seen this? Anyone run successfully on an Apple silicon Mac? Or on Ventura OS?
I've not seen this. The simulator C47 is working fine for me on my x86_64 MacOS Ventura 13.6.4. XQuartz 2.8.5.

So perhaps it's only an issue on ARM?

Re: C47 State Files size and contents

At the risk of stating the obvious, 4,294,967,295 is not a strange number. It's 2**32 - 1. i.e. it's the largest number that will fit in an unsigned 32-bit variable.

Re: Failure to reflash my C47 conversion to DM42

OT: another suggestion for Mac users: use a utility like cleaneject , or BlueHarvest , to delete Trash, and other Mac litter, from removable drives upon eject. Since it's been deemed on-topic… :) Links: https://www.javawa.nl/cleaneject_en.html https://www.zeroonetwenty.com/blueharvest/ I used clean...

manual: 6.2. Quick Update Guide (FAT disk update)

In this section: 6.2. Quick Update Guide (FAT disk update) It says: 5. If calculator does not detect OS ejection, shut down USB connection by pressing [C] I assume I'm missing something obvious, but what is [C]? Is it the alpha C, i.e. square-root? Or the third unlabelled softkey, Or…? I ask, since ...

Re: WP43: Call for Proofreaders

OM 0.25.2 p140 fn161 "GRADes" -> "GRADs" (possibly already noted) Also, consider noting that the WP43 "MIL" is the NATO MIL of 360°/6400, as there are several slightly different MIL definitions (cf. Wikipedia "Milliradian")? Although it is easily verified, of ...

Re: C47: MEM? function

Perhaps MEM triggers a garbage collection? I believe it does that on the 50g, where calling MEM definitely changes the value it displays; hence the recommended "MEM DROP MEM" there.
