Try pressing just above and between the "B" and "C" keys. Keep pressing and then push "ON" key. If it starts then the foam over the internal contacts shall be replaced. You could do by yourself but you have to crack the calc open, not for the faint of heart. You can find instructions at www.hpmuseum...
