Re: Improved Keyboard????

The problem has been identified. It seems the metal sheets from which the metal domes were stamped weren't cleaned properly. An oil film prevents reliable contact. The domes and the contact area on the PCB can be cleaned, which significantly improves the reliability. We encourage anybody having suc...

Re: Looking forward to the DM42 update utilizing the Free42 2.023 update...

Zeno, The point being discussed here is not IF the 2.023 changes should be included in the DM42, of course they should! The point being discussed is WHEN to include the changes and make a new release. Each new version of DM42 takes a lot of effort: make the code changes, testing the new changes, re...

Re: Looking forward to the DM42 update utilizing the Free42 2.023 update...

An up to dat DM42 is a better DM42 :) I disagree. The changes in 2.023 are small, highly specialized and very unlikely to matter to almost anyone, and simply do not warrant a new release of DM42 on their own. It makes more sense to spend the limited time David has to continue work on other forthcom...

The usual reason folks pursue this is if they learned RPL before RPN, where all terminated entries always enable stack lift. These tricks better simulate the behavior of RPL.
Correct, and that's the main reason why we should avoid this and show them the light.

Instead, you should be happy about a significant increase of the amount of supporters. :D
I am, but support could be phrased differently. :D

Just joking, of course...

But it seems as it has annoyed a lot of people if they tried to "clear" things. It seems that this happens more often than the engineers at HP thought... ;)
Oh well, the same is true if you press ENTER, for example, on an empty stack.

"Yggdrasil" is the tree of life and death in Norse mythology. The tree stood in the center and connected the 9 worlds.

Re: The Stack (according to Free42 Manual)

I hope that's not a question of faith... It's just I don't understand what José Lauro Strapasson tries to tell me there. It is really a question of faith. José Lauro likes the RPL way, with the edit line; I am accostumed to, and prefer, the RPN way. I can't stand the error that shows when you press...
