Re: Problem solving integrals

Overall, the DM32 manual is excellent quality. The first example for integration, the Bessel function, is just complex enough by introducing two variables in an integration problem; but simple enough to be easy to enter and test.

Re: Problem solving integrals

Thanks for the background. I appreciate the business context for shipping with a beta version. I too have some interest in Nikon cameras but not at your level. However, I do have experience working in embedded systems programming, including filesystems. There are lots of dangers in flashing firmware...

Re: Problem solving integrals

Thanks. Sure, I finally worked up the nerve to do the dreaded "Flash Firmware from FAT" operation, and it did solve the problem. After doing that, I was able to define an EQN and run an integral on it. However, I still think there is a gap in explaining the context. Before flashing, the Ab...

Re: Problem solving integrals

I see that on the SwissMicros web site for DM32, it says:

"BETA firmware installed, updates will be required"

Is that my hint that I am supposed to flash something?

I don't even see a file to flash.

Please provide instructions, someone. Tell me what I missed.

Re: Problem solving integrals

I did exactly the same as you described and immediately got the result of 2.6667. Perhaps something went wrong when you flashed the software? I get a similar error when I use the manual's example of a Bessel function. I dutifully enter the lower and upper bound and run their example. It gives an ov...

Re: Shipping Delays

EXCELLENT NEWS!!! The DM32 showed up! I retract what I said before about regrets. It is an outstanding device! I have a partial explanation about the shipping delay: a funny lime-coloured sticker on the shipping box says this: "OPENED BY CBSA" I wonder if they appreciated RPN when they ins...

Re: Shipping Delays

Just go to the post office, show them the tracking thing that says it reached Canada and ask them when you can expect it. Put them on the spot. Thank you for the suggestion. I went to "the" post office -- meaning a location near me. I was not able to put anyone on the spot, but someone wa...

Re: Shipping Delays

Have you tried going to the post office and asking? Take the shipping tracker notification with you - just because tracking wasn't paid for doesn't mean they aren't actually able to track it. Thanks for chipping in. Actually, the shipping email from SwissMicros came with a tracking ID. It worked as...

Re: Shipping Delays

I just picture a character like Newman from the old Seinfeld series somehow diverting my package. ;) Maybe this is just Canada Sloth\b\b\b\b\bPost doing its thing. Since there is no tracking, I just have to wait until it shows up or a sufficiently large timeout expires before I conclude whether it g...

Shipping Delays

I purchased a DM 32 on 4 Jan 2024 that was declared shipped on 8 Jan. The shipping tracker said it arrived in country (Canada) on 23 Jan. There is no tracking in this country. I used the default inexpensive shipping method. Back in 2015 I purchased a DM 15 Silver Edition. It arrived in less than two...
