Re: 43S News

Next release will contain A stack size indicator in the status bar (thanks to Martin). AGM bug removed and complex square roots refined (thanks to Mihail and Pauli). Quite some bugs under the hood removed and refinements implemented before the split. We are, however, challenged by bringing these imp...

For the records: Just measured extern (meanwhile I'm very fast in opening the WP43 ;-): 3.02 - 3.03V
Yes in principle but please look here for more reliable information about battery quality and external/open voltage readings.

Re: 43S Bug Reports and Maintenance

Indeed, seeing this with DM42 f/w confirms it must be a h/w issue of some kind. It's a stretch, and I don't think it was discussed, but have you tried installing a new battery? Even though the issue occurs with USB connected, it's not impossible that a (very) bad battery can still interfere with ex...

Re: C43 Bug Reports

Yes in principle but D->J operates on dates and returns long integers only and vice versa J->D operates on long integers and returns dates only. We support just dates but not date-times (combinations of date and time) so far.

Re: C43 Bug Reports

I also tried entering yesterdays (24/11-2022 00:00:00.0) JD, which is 2459907.5 and execute J->D, which gives the same error message. Almost confirmed: if I try 2459907.5 and execute J->D then "Invalid input data type..." is thrown. If, however, I look up J->D in the ReM, I learn that thi...

Re: 43S Bug Reports and Maintenance

Hmmh. Looks like hardware. Reasoning: we have a b/w display, no grey pixels. Since you mention fast battery decay, can you supply voltage via USB and check you observe the same shortcomings? (BTW, the protective foil over the display can be dropped.)

I do not know if this has already been reported:
switching the WP43 off (g, EXIT) displays mostly an inverted OFFIMG, e.g. very low contrast.
edit: do you need a photo?
Not observed here. A photo would help certainly. Thanks in advance.

Re: C43 bezel expected when?

AFAIK, there's no provision for the calculator's front slots in the aforementioned templates  Maybe a metal bezel is not flexible enough to use the slots? I don't know, but I am confident that they'll find (probably already have) a viable solution. A 0.25mm sheet of steel will be flexible eno...

Re: 43S Bug Reports and Maintenance

Thanks for reporting! Confirmed on WP43 pilot. We'll look into it.

Just for curiosity: why did you enter [.] [A] ? Stack register A can be reached by [A] alone...
