Re: Inspiring the next generation of RPN users

Actually, I wouldn't mind a basic 4 op plus a few extra RPN calculator for my desk. Maybe with mechanical keys and a nice 4+ stack diaplay. Although a nice idea, I'm afraid that's going to become significantly more expensive than can be justified by its power. Too many $$/function as long as we tal...

Re: 43S News

I prefer (a). Actually, I wonder about the practicality of implementing something like a format string. Something that can take 2.936 in the X register and display it as £3/1/7+3⁄4 ... I don't comprehend your last sentence though. Please elaborate. TIA ... well it's reasonable to assume that an adv...

Re: 43S News

. Many among us are ready to [buy a 43S], since - at least - ten years. As every hobbyist's project, it subsists on its active contributors. If only 10% of those who are longing for a 43S would dedicate some work to it on a fairly regular basis, the project would accelerate significantly. Woosh! Bu...

Re: 43S News

... Once the hardware design is settled, I would be happy to buy one, even though the SW wasn’t 100% done, and accept SW updates drizzling in along the way. Many among us are ready to, since - at least - ten years. As every hobbyist's project, it subsists on its active contributors. If only 10% of ...

Do You dare to set a release date yet?

Re: 43S News

As of today, only 3.5 commands must be implemented still, plus the 15 print commands. We're asymptotically approaching the target line. ;)

It is not a mistake. It should be 64MBit. [...] It will be corrected.
Seems I need some extra logic lessons. Is it a mistake or not now? 64MBit = 8MByte.

Re: Dummy needs help (again)

Well - I suppose, when I have tried this a dozen more times, I can do swap between WP43S and DM42 easily, but still it is kind of Woodo for me. I really need a simple step by step guide and all the needed files. Well, I've uploaded a refined Reference Manual some hours ago. Look here: https://gitla...

Re: Dummy needs help (again)

Now my DM42 is in a strange state, where I can not get out of the DMCP menu. All I can do is switch the calculator on and off, with the "+" key. I have tried all methods here: https://technical.swissmicros.com/dm42/doc/dm42_user_manual.html#quick_update_guide There's a DMCP_flash_3.23_DM4...

Re: 43S News

I got my 43S resurrected by powering it via USB. (No use in frantically pressing any keys in my case.) Actually, the freeze state was caused by a ccc battery, delivering 3.0 V open circuit voltage but breaking down immediately after inserting. Its power did neither suffice to process any keystroke n...
